Zagori Mountain Running (ZMR)

The Zagori Mountain Running (ZMR) race is the largest Greek mountain running event, offering a unique experience amidst the natural beauty and culture of the Zagori region. With routes crossing stone bridges, villages, and the impressive Vikos Gorge, runners have the opportunity to test their endurance on challenging trails with significant elevation changes. ZMR includes multiple routes, from 5 km for all to the two-day Challenge 93 km race, covering different levels of difficulty and experience. The organization is welcoming and professional, with an emphasis on safety and athlete support.

The races start at different times depending on the route, with Challenge and TeRA starting at 05:00, Zagori Classic 33 km at 06:30, Half Marathon at 07:30, Forest 10 km at 08:45, Fun 5 km at 21:00, and ZAGORAKI Kids Race at 19:00. The Challenge race is two days (July 18-19, 2026) and includes a total of 93 km. There are special routes for children and runners of all levels. The organization provides support, supply stations, and strict regulations for participant safety. It includes races for children and adults, with registrations opening on March 27, 2026.
