Στη Σκιά του Κριάκουρα

The mountain running race "In the Shadow of Kriakoura" is organized for the 12th time in Theodoriana Arta, offering two challenging routes of 10 and 23 kilometers. The routes pass through fir forests, rivers, and trails with special natural beauty and difficulty, revealing the secrets of the Tzoumerka mountains. The race is dedicated to the inspirer of the first race in 2014 and serves as a criterion for participation in major mountain marathons. The start and finish are at the central square of Theodoriana, with a start time of 10:00 a.m. for all routes.

Participation includes a technical t-shirt, commemorative medal, electronic timing, individual feeding stations, and a meal with traditional products after the race. Race numbers are distributed at the secretariat on Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 08:00 to 09:30. There are 12 feeding stations for the 23 km and 4 for the 10 km. The use of trekking poles and GPS devices is permitted. Camping and a wide range of accommodation options are available in the area. The race takes place on August 23, 2026, with both men and women participating. The organization promotes sports, contact with nature, and local tradition.
