Race description
The BLACK YARD Ultra by Mamali Festival is a challenging ultra trail race that starts and finishes at Mamali Festival Base Camp, at an altitude of approximately 1454 meters. It includes a Last Runner Standing ultra race, a 12-kilometer race, and a 1-kilometer children's race. The 12-kilometer loop has 514 meters of elevation gain, mainly on trails and dirt roads, and the ultra requires experience as the rounds become increasingly demanding with reduced completion times. The Base Camp offers camping facilities, showers, food, and festival phases, creating a unique atmosphere for participants.

The Last Runner Standing race has a 2-hour time limit for the first round, decreasing by 3 minutes in each subsequent round. Mandatory equipment includes: headlamp, phone, water bottles, rain jacket, and emergency blanket. The Base Camp offers free camping, showers, toilets, food, electricity, and festival phases. Nutrition includes electrolytes, bananas, water, Coca-Cola, snacks, and after 4 hours, potatoes, pasta, and soup. Maximum number of participants: 100. A medical certificate is required. The weather in August is hot and humid with an average temperature of 35°C and 25mm of rainfall, making an early start necessary.
