Race description

The running club "Spartiaters Runners" is organizing the 5th Sparta City Ultra in Sparta, Laconia, on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, 2026. The race includes three routes of 6, 12, and 24 hours, with an intermediate milestone at 100 miles. The course is a circular loop of 822 meters, starting and ending near the statue of King Leonidas and the Sparta Municipal Stadium. The winners are those who cover the greatest distance within the race time limit.

Additional information

A central aid station operates with water, electrolytes, coffee/tea, soft drinks, fruits, nuts, and snacks. Hot food (pasta and soup) is provided depending on the race duration. Organized bus transportation from Athens (Karaiskaki Square, Metaxourgeio) with specific departure and return times for each race. Race packet pickup occurs on Saturday and Sunday before the race. Awards are given to the top 6 men and women in each race, as well as medals and T-shirts to all finishers. The event includes multiple race categories, support stations with food and drinks, transportation options from Athens, and registration through the Athletin platform.
