The 1st International Double Marathon Race "Yannis Kouros 2026" is a demanding ultra-marathon approximately 455 kilometers long, starting and ending in Tripoli. The race takes place on various terrains, mainly on old paved roads with hills, but also on dirt roads and trails, where runners are encouraged to bring flashlights for the nighttime segment. The completion time for the race is 84 hours, and participation is by invitation with strict performance criteria. The race is part of a three-day festive program in honor of Yannis Kouros and is under the auspices of the Municipality of Tripoli.
