Πεντελικόν Μάραθων

The Pentelic Marathon is a 12-kilometer mountain race organized for the fourth consecutive year by the Marathon Runners Club Telmissos of Nea Makri in collaboration with the Volunteer Forest Firefighters Association of Marathon. The route is forested and trail-based, starting in Agia Marina Nea Makri. The race aims to financially support the Volunteer Forest Firefighters Association of Marathon for forest protection and volunteer service to the community. Mount Pentelicus, despite recent fire damage, retains its incredible beauty and historical significance, and the race contributes to the effort of revitalizing the mountains.

The race is organized with the support of the Municipality of Marathon and under the auspices of EOSLMA-Y. The start is at 10:00 AM. The event aims to financially support the Volunteer Forest Firefighters Association of Marathon for forest protection and volunteer service. The route passes through the S.E.D.M. (Volunteer Forest Firefighters Association of Marathon) and is a trail within a forest that was affected by fire in August 2024. The race includes competitive and volunteer participation, emphasizing enjoyment of nature and promoting mountain running.
