Xeskouriazo Trail

The Xeskouriazo mountain running race has been organized since 2013 by the Women's Association of Megali Panagia on Mount Kakavos in Chalkidiki. Dedicated to environmental protection and opposition to gold-copper mining, the race promotes trail running and highlights the natural beauty of the area. The routes start and finish at the Square of Chorostasi in Megali Panagia and offer a unique experience in mountainous terrain with significant elevation gain. The race welcomes athletes from all over Greece and aims to keep the mountains alive and protected.

There are aid stations with electrolytes, water, dried fruits, and snacks at various kilometers. It is recommended to use your own cup or bottle to avoid plastic. A participation packet and race number are provided. Camping facilities are available for athletes and visitors. Registration can also be done on the race day until 9:00 a.m., subject to availability. The event includes different difficulty levels, awareness activities, and supports the local community and environment.
