Vamvakou Mountain Run

The 6th Vamvakou Mountain Run, which will take place on June 7, 2026, invites runners of all levels to discover the rhythm of the mountain through three routes of 29, 19, and 7 kilometers. The course starts from the square of Vamvakou and ascends to an altitude of up to 1900 meters, offering a unique experience in one of the most authentic mountain landscapes of the Peloponnese. The race combines athletic competition with an escape from urban pace, while the organization includes electronic timing, medals, prizes, and raffles. The event is part of the Vamvakou Revival initiative and is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

All participants receive a participation number, timing chip, personal item bag, commemorative T-shirt, and medal, as well as a light meal at the finish line. The organization includes electronic timing on all routes, awards for the top overall and age category positions, and raffles with prizes for lucky participants. The start times for the 29 km and 19 km routes are at 09:30, while the 7 km route starts at 10:00. The race has a participation limit of 200 people per route and requires online registration and payment. Three routes (7 km, 19 km, 29 km), participation via online registration, free transportation from Athens and Kalamata, activities for companions and children, registration deadline is 31/05/2026.
