Race description

The Sfakia Sky Marathon is a unique mountain running race of marathon distance 44.1 kilometers with a positive elevation gain of approximately 3050 meters, held in the southern part of the White Mountains in Crete. The route starts from the seaside village of Loutro and ends in Anopoli, offering a challenging and impressive experience with passages through seaside trails, mountain deserts, and the highest peak of the White Mountains, Pachnes. The race has a time limit of 10 hours and 30 minutes and includes cutoff points for athlete safety. The event is aimed at experienced mountain runners who have completed at least two mountain half marathons in the last three years.
