Amorgos Trail Challenge

The Amorgos Trail Challenge is an entertainment mountain running race organized by the Naturalist - Hiking Association of Amorgos "Palia Strata". Its purpose is to highlight the beauty of Amorgos and bring together athletes and residents through sports, cultural, and gastronomic events. The two-day event includes races of different distances, such as the Spike, 7.5 km, and 20.5 km, as well as a children's race. The organization invites everyone to experience authentic moments of hospitality and sportsmanship on the beautiful island of Amorgos.

The races take place over two days with the Spike on Friday and the 7.5 km and 20.5 km races on Saturday. There are refueling stations with salty snacks, sweets, fruits, isotonic drinks, and water. Essential equipment includes a water bottle. Electronic timing is done with a chip, and there are cut-off times (2.5 hours for 7.5 km and 5 hours for 20.5 km). There is also a children's race, Loza Kids Race, and group registration discounts for 10 or more participants. The event includes children's races, as well as cultural and nature activities, aimed at promoting sports and local culture on the island.
