8ο Acheloos Run

The 8th Acheloos Run is organized by the Oiniades Running Team in Neochori Mesolongiou and includes road races on public roads for all ages. The routes pass through beautiful natural areas beside the Acheloos River, with flat terrain and historic sites, offering a unique running experience. The finish line is near the sea, where runners enjoy local products and music at a beach party. The event is supported by volunteers and security agencies for participant safety.

Packet pickup takes place at the Heroes Square in Neochori on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2026. Participants must be at the start area 45 minutes before the race begins. Hydration points are available at specific kilometers. The route is supported by volunteers, police, EMS, and other agencies. Training instructions are available on the official website. The races include 1000m, 5km, 10km, and half marathon 21.1km. The start is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The event is held in a beautiful area close to nature and water, aiming to promote sports and social cohesion.
