Race description
The 3rd Gitanos Race is an important athletic and cultural event that combines sports with the promotion of the historical heritage of Thesprotia. It includes races of 21 km, 5 km, and a children's race of 1,000 meters for children aged 6 and above. The route is asphalt and ends at the archaeological site of Gitanos, with the finish line at the iconic Ancient Theatre of Gitanos. The organization aims to establish a tradition that links sports with the history and culture of the area.

Additional information
Participation is free. Buses will be available from Pantheon Igoumenitsa to the Archaeological Site of Gitanos (08:00 - 08:30 a.m.) with return after the award ceremony. For safety reasons, vehicle traffic will be interrupted at the Ancient Theatre of Gitanos and its surroundings before the start of the 5 km and children's races. Routes are on asphalt, include cultural monuments, refreshments, medical coverage, and have age participation terms.
