The Epirus Marathon "King Pyrrhus" is a historic and fast marathon held in the city of Arta, with a certified route by World Athletics. The course is flat and runs along the Araxthos River, offering ideal weather conditions for runners seeking records. The race honors King Pyrrhus, an important ancient leader of Epirus, combining sports with the history and culture of the region. The event includes a marathon, 10 km, and 5 km races, and is open to runners of all levels.

There are sufficient refreshment stations with bottled water along all routes. Timing is done with a single-use chip that is not returned. Electronic timing with checkpoints is available.
